At Kings Copse Primary School, we believe that every child at our school should feel safe, be happy and be supported to learn something new and useful each day.
We strive to give all of our children the opportunity to develop to their full potential in preparation for their future lives and we work carefully to provide a vibrant learning environment and a sparkling curriculum in which each member of the school community feels safe and secure and willing to try out new ideas and ways of learning. Such an ethos enables our children to become self-motivated, independent and confident learners, fully able to grasp the challenges and opportunities that the future has in store for them.
Through our vibrant curriculum, we endeavour to promote our children's spiritual, moral and cultural knowledge and understanding to enable them to make informed choices in the world beyond the school.
We encourage our children take an active role in determining how the school works and what and how they learn. Giving our children ownership over the curriculum means they invest in it and strive to do the best they can. From our EYFS class – where a child’s interests can spark a week or more of themed learning – through to our Year 6 class – where recent projects have grown from popular TV programmes, the local area and favourite authors – Kings Copse Primary School is a vibrant and forward-thinking place to learn.
We have a busy School Council, a team of Recycling Experts, Junior Librarians and a host of monitors and helpers who play an important role in keeping the school a safe, happy and exciting place to learn. Our children decide on the charities we support each year and play an active part in fundraising for school and for other good causes.
