About us
Welcome to Kings Copse Primary School. We are very proud of our school and the support it is able to give pupils, preparing them for life beyond a primary school and into their future adult lives. We have a responsibility to provide your child with the tools they are going to need in later life and to ensure that they are happy and confident individuals. 'Towards Lifelong Learning' is central to all we do at Kings Copse. We want our pupils to be successful and to be proud to share their achievements with others.
Our value added continues to be above national average with particular strengths in English and Science attainment. We support our more able, gifted and talented pupils well and this is reflected in their outcomes, with a high percentage achieving well above national expectations.
We moved into our new school building in September 2008. The school has state of the art 21st Century facilities, including a craft room, food technology room, air conditioned ICT suite, music and drama room and provision for up to 10 pupils with visual impairment. The provision for ICT is excellent, with a wireless network thoughout and use of laptops, as well as other media. Music is a growing strength, particularly instrumental tuition.
The new school has excellent landscaped outdoor play areas for all ages and provides space and improved facilities for community use. The pupils are already enjoying increased learning and play opportunities outside the classroom.
We work hard to make our school a happy and stimulating environment for the children in our care, a place where they can grow and be enriched. We provide a curriculum that will develop the essential skills in literacy and numeracy and also give children the opportunity to have other experiences within the framework of a broad curriculum.
We have strong relationships with our parents and we value their involvement and support throughout the years of their child’s education with us. Through hard work and enjoyment from many and varied opportunities during their time at Kings Copse, pupils grow and develop and we want them to be able to leave with many special memories of their time with us.
